Those videos below were taken tonight and Ella was a-ok. She went to bed around 8:00 and by 11:30 we were in an ambulance on the way to Emerg....she had major problems breathing...gasping..I called 911 and they sent the ambulance over and kept me on the line telling me what to do. In the ambulance they hooked her up to oxygen and Ventolin. When we got there they gave her an Epinephrine mask to open up her airways...chest x-rays...steroids....
Bronchial spasms and/or severe croup was the the final diagnosis. Her airway basically swelled to a point that this was serious. Stridor was the buzz word they were all using. She had a dose of ADVIL around 7:30 for teething pain and this was the first time I gave her something other than Tylenol so the Dr. suggested it very well could be a reaction to the Advil. We are home now...3am...and there is a standing order at the Hospital in case this happens again tonight. She will start a Neb. routine of steroids. She is hopeful that with the 4 masks and an oral dose of steroids we nipped this in the bud.
I am spent. I am worried. I am out of anything resembling energy.
