Quick update:
Ella is responding well and being very co-operative taking her mask medicine so this means she (fingers crossed) will not have to be admitted. The Dr. wanted to avoid that if at all possible since she is worried that she would be susceptible to secondary diseases. She kind of has cold symptoms and that barky cough that is croupe that is making her miserable...but she can breath so that is a bonus! Fell on her face this am and split the underside of her lip and behind her front tooth....scared me a little while ago...she was coughing and fussing and then Kailey said, "baby Ella has blood". She had blood splattered on her clothes and all over her chin...I freaked thinking it was related...my Auntie Char was talking to me and I quickly had to let her go telling her that she is coughing up blood. The coughing must have re-split her lip open...phew. What the heck...I am running on one hour of sleep so my nerves are a little shot. I called her back to reassure her.
Amazing big sister showing Ella that it is not scary to wear a mask. "See baby Ella, no big deal, look at Kailey she is brave".
Picture this....2am sitting in Emerg and in walks a blond crazy bed head afro with mismatched pj's and big winter boots. "Don't worry baby, Kailey is here" in a huge voice. She owned that room. She was making her giggle by.....tooting. "watch watch baby, if I toot on this bed it with be really loud" "see, baby, Kailey is making you laugh". Had to put a stop to that one though as I was not in the mood to clean Princess panties. She was forcing them out. Ella was giggling. Took her big sis to pass gas to lift her spirits. She is an amazing little girl. She totally lightened the mood for me as well. We got back home and she was back in bed.
