18 month stats for Bell-boo
height: 32 1/4" - 66th percentile
weight: 26 lbs. 3 oz. - 76th percentile
head circum: 47.4 cm - 72 or so percentile (I forgot)
She is a ham and tried to escape so we had to block the door. quick tears and then it was a-ok. She loved the waiting room....go figure. Kailey really wanted to come and was such a little helper. I think Ella liked having K there and K used her charm to snag a sticker for herself. Ella is not talking like how she should, but after the nurse saw how Kailey steps in and deciphers for Ella she totally understood. She watched her in action with the sign language thing.....she is very swift and knows she can get what she wants by using her own unique talk. I can ask her to put laundry away and she will open drawers in whatever room I ask and chuck them in. I can ask her to throw away her wrapper and she will. She individually feeds the dogs in the order I ask. She knows some body parts and just generally understands A LOT!!! I have no concern that the speech thing will take off and then there will be no stopping her. Kailey talks A LOT I mean enough for 6 children so it is a matter of getting a word in edge wise. lol

more pictures....
oh-my what a poser
Kailey teaching Ella Gymnastics.Their new swimming pool - too cold and rainy so we tried it out inside and this kept them busy ALL day!
We found a family of grasshoppers in the perennial bowl. I brought it in to water it and move it to the back deck and the grass came alive...I almost lost it...hahahaha. Kailey had to one up me and hold it and give it a name.
some from the provincial I forgot to add.
I just love that Ella is leading the pack in this one.
this is her, 'I know I am not supposed to touch library books' look. Look at her little pony tail!!! Kim put pig tails in her hair the other day...so funny. She feels pretty good about herself in them! lol
Sleeping in a Box for charity...
***UPDATE: Just got word that the amount raised so far is $19,000 and counting!!!!!***
Well, I survived sleeping in a box in the field by Pizza Hut overnight! I managed to raise $850 for the cause and I am very thankful to my supporters! The money raised (last figure I heard was $17,000) half going toward the local Margaret Savage Crisis Center's housing project for women and children in need and the other half going to the NOT 4 Sale initiative which keeps/frees children from the sex trade. Very worthwhile causes and all the money goes out. I had such an amazing experience and was surrounded by the most REAL and generous people I have ever met. This group is everything I believe a Christian should be...they live the word and do so freely and pure. Sounds corny I guess, but they welcomed me and there was zero pressure, just gratitude. I was the only 'non-church' person to ever ask to do this fundraiser I guess (7th year) which really shocks me. I will for sure be doing this for sure next year.
So the weather was somewhat better than expected I guess. We got a nasty storm for about 30 minutes...torrential rain and crazy wind while we were building our box town so that was NOT FUN. We managed to turn our boxes over and tarp them so no water got in...phew. It was cold (only 8 degrees) at night, but there was no rain or wind so that was a treat. I borrowed a military issued kit that had everything I needed!!! I was snug and warm all night. I did sleep, but the cows across the street woke me up and the seagulls squawking right outside my box scared the crap out of me....lol
I am in here doing a test run....I had to find my zen and give myself a firm talking to ref. this is not really a coffin and I am not really going to die....I can breathe....No coyotes will come for me...nobody will stab me through the box for some reason....no bats will get in and get caught in my hair...no rats (not an issue here, but was sure there would be this newly discovered batch that like to hang out in boxes?!) you get the idea. These boxes were awesome...wax covered.

Canada Day and a great visit with Dad and Diane!!
what would be the afternoon event - thanks Dad for lining up...over and over and over for this thing.
She looks too old here!
later she would use this to bang every living thing, including dogs. :-S...one of those, 'I shouldn't have showed her that' moments. I can take credit for that. Rookie move.
love living by a beach
look how much 'older' she is now...likes to walk everywhere!
The Alien Kailey now has tucked into bed next to her along with 'Big bear'. So funny how she introduced it to the bear....hahahaha.
We also had a great boat ride. Unfortunately due to a Gravol incident, Diane stayed back...hahahaha. ok, we can laugh now right? She gets sea sick so she took gravol and became stoned. Some of Kailey's stories started to make sense...no, not really. There are not enough drugs in the world for that to happen at times....hahahahaha. Thanks Brad for the tour of Cold Lake from the water. Some stats:
Cold Lake is approx. 12 miles x 17 miles with depths as deep as 400 ft.
Thanks for the great visit and amazing memories.
